ABOUT DAVID

David was born in Jakarta on October 2nd, 1981. He is the middle of three and the only son in his family. He has an older sister who lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma and a younger sister who still lives in Jakarta, Indonesia. He was raised and lived in Jakarta until he finished his senior high school in 1999.

Following his graduation, he followed his older sister and moved to Oklahoma to further his studies at Oral Roberts University. A year after his graduation from Oral Roberts in mid 2003, he was planning to go back to Jakarta. However, his mom encouraged him to continue and get his masters degree from Oklahoma State. While studying at Oklahoma State, he met Ivana at the IFGF-GISI Edmond in December 2003.

David loves sports, most notably soccer and basketball. He even dreamt about playing in the English Premier League for Arsenal until he realized that it took a lot of commitments and skills to get there. Despite his bad grade in music class during the elementary school, he started to love music. He loves to listen and play musical instruments. David is thankful that he came to know the Lord Jesus when he came to Oklahoma. God has changed his character and turned his life around. He is excited and looking forward to the journey ahead.

ABOUT IVANA

Ivana was born in Cirebon on January 11th, 1986. She is the oldest daughter with two younger brothers in her family. Yudy, the middle son, is a year younger than her and soon to graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computerized Accounting from Binus University in Jakarta. Henry, the youngest in the family, is six years younger than her and currently going to a high school and resides in Cirebon with their parents.

She spent the first 15 years of her life in Cirebon with her parents and her two brothers. She graduated from SMP Santa Maria and continued her education at Jubilee High School, Jakarta. Living away from her parents has made her more independent than most girls her age. During her high school years, she became best friends with Yosy, Novie, and Mora. She is very thankful for this friendship because it led her to knowing Jesus and that has changed her life forever.

After graduating from high school in 2003, she moved to the U.S, going to the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond, to fulfill her dreams of becoming a graphic designer. She met David on her 8th day being in Oklahoma, in a cell group at Oklahoma City. Exactly a year later, they started dating. Ivana graduated on Spring 2007 with a Bachelor’s Degree of Fine Arts. She moved to Tulsa, a city that she likes very much, and work as a graphic designer in an ad agency.

Ivana loves anything about food and culinary. She wouldn’t call herself an excellent cook, but she's learning. She takes pleasure in good design and good books. She loves singing and learning languages. She is very much into jazz and contemporary Christian music. She is an avid Lost watcher, something that she has been trying to get David into :) Influenced by her two brothers, she enjoys watching soccer leagues and a lot of other sports in general.
